Ed
left Chicago and a successful career as a Manufacturing Engineer in
1978. His first endeavor in Key West was to renovate and create a 10-unit
Inn
that he operated until 1984. During that period he was also
involved in Key West Charities and was the President of the Key West
Business Guild.
Building upon his past experiences and knowledge of
the Key West area, Ed decided to enter the Real Estate field. Obtaining
his Real Estate License in 1985 and Brokers License in 1986. Ed and
his initial partners opened the first office of Key West Realty. A
year later, he left on his own and established Olde Island Realty,
Inc. Service was the premise upon which Olde Island Realty, Inc. was
established and continues to be the primary ingredient in his formula
for success
Service not only to his clients but to the community.
Ed has wore many hats in the Key West community
President,
Vice President, Treasurer, MLS Chair of the Key West Association of
Realtors; President, Treasurer of The Florida Innkeepers Association;
and Vice President, Treasurer of AIDS Help, Inc. Receiving honors
from the Key West Association of Realtors
1999 Realtor of the
Year, 1999 & 2000 President's Award and the 1988 Community Service
Award.
In the summer of 2000 Ed considered retiring after being an Independent
Broker and accomplishing many of his goals. This all changed when
two friends of his introduced him to the EXIT Realty Franchise. He
was reenergized with this new concept
Real Estate reinvented
that was good for both Agents and the Broker. In January 2001 the
Olde Island Realty, Inc. sign came down and was replaced with EXIT
Realty Old Island Key West.
The name may have changed but the premise remains the same
Service
